Working in the Form Developer Environment

1. What is Forms Builder?

Form builder is the application-building component of Oracle Forms Developer. We can use it to design and store the definitions of form, menu and library documents.

2.What is PL/SQL Library?

A PL/SQL Library is a collection of PL/SQL program units whose code can be referenced and called from other modules.

3.What is Object Library?

An object library is a collection of from object that you can use in other modules.

4. What is Module? Write the types of Form Builder module.

A Module is a major component of application and is the basis for storage and ownership. A Form

Developer module can be of the following types –

•        Form

•        Menu

•        Library

        o PL/SQL Library

        o Object Library

5. Write the key features of Forms Builder

With Form Builder we can:

•        Provide an interface for users to insert, update, delete and query data

•        Present data as text, image and custom controls

•        Control forms across several windows and database transactions

•        Use integrated menus

•        Send data to oracle reports

6. Write the components of forms builder

Forms Builder Components are-

•        Object Navigator

•        Property Palette

•        Layout Editor

•        PL/SQL Editor

7. What is canvases?

A canvas is a “surface “ where visual object, such as graphics and items, are arranged.

The three major objects in a form are-

•        Items

•        Blocks

•        Canvases.
